February 03, 2011 - 10:33 AM Michael Furn I live in Brackley , which is in the South West of Northamptonshire. For the last 14 months I have been fighting to get Brackley a more direct and frequent bus service to the county of Northampton. We had a meeting in the town on Octber 15th last year attended by the county council, local MP Andrea Leadsom,and Stve Morris from Bus users Uk plus Steve Burd from Stagecoach Midlands. Plans had been drawn up by Stagecoach to get the town a direct link to Northampton. Since then northants county council have announced a 100% cut in bus subsidy if this goes ahead , it will effect students, job seekers the elderly who want to visit the county , its unfair if it happens. Especially when Stagecoach have gone out of there way to answer things after that meeting in brackley to give the town a decent link to Northampton. IP : 92.19.157.41 |
